What if I need to drop or add a class?

From time to time, you may find that you need to make a schedule change to your courses. Troy University has an official drop/add period which encompasses the first attendance week of the term. During this period, you may request to drop and add a course to your schedule with no penalty (academic or financial). However, if you drop a course without adding another course during the first week, you may incur a financial penalty. After the drop/add period, you may incur financial or academic penalties. Refer to the refund chart below for academic and financial ramifications corresponding to your drop date. If you drop all of your courses, you will need to complete a withdrawal form.

How do I drop/add a course during drop/add period?

Drop/adds should be completed electronically through Trojan Web Express. If you are unable to drop/add using Trojan Web Express, please complete the electronic Graduate or Undergraduate Registration Form found on the Student Forms page.

What does withdrawal mean to me?

Withdrawal just means that you do not intend to take any courses that term. You may return at any point in time up to one year without applying for readmission. Withdrawing from classes may carry academic and financial penalties.
